本教材由八個單元構成，涵蓋美加憲政、經濟、利益集團、醫療、科技、教育、自然資源和移民等專題。各單元結構如下： 導言 導入單元主題，概述本單元主要內容，為進入單元學習做鋪墊。 Unit Goals 明確單元學習目標，幫助學生聚焦學習重點。 Before You Read 選取與課文相關的輔助性材料，設計熱身練習活動，幫助學生初步了解對象國家與區域的相關狀況，激發他們的學習興趣。 Text A 提供一篇對象國家與區域相關專題內容的選文，文後設計了Understand the Text、Learn More和Probe Together三部分活動，幫助學生學習分析對象國家與區域的概況，把握對象國家與區域的發展特徵和趨勢，層層深入地學習與探索相關專題。 Text B 作為 Text A 的補充與延伸，為學生深入學習單元專題提供更為廣闊的視角。 Suggested Reading 為學生提供拓展學習的參考資料，便於他們課後進行拓展閱讀和探討，從而擴大知識面、開闊視野。 本教材適合英語專業本科二、三、四年級學生使用。
