《21世紀大學英語（S版）視聽說教程》（第3版）是「十四五」普通高等教育本科國家級規劃教材《21世紀大學英語（S版）綜合教程》（第3版）的配套用書，根據《大學英語教學指南》（2020版）設計和編寫，旨在通過真實而有時代氣息的場景、地道而又生動的語言、實用而又豐富的知識、多樣而又活潑的練習提高學生的英語聽說能力。本教程包括「學生用書」和「教學參考書」（每種分為1—4冊）及配套的音視頻包、助教PPT課件和「i學」App移動平台網路課程等，供高等院校普通英語教學使用。
本教程在編寫設計上充分體現學生在教學過程中的主體地位和教師的引導作用，選材全面、真實，聽、說技能訓練緊密契合，題材生動、體裁豐富、語言材料多樣，並在修訂時增加了中國文化和思政元素。本教程可以獨立使用，也可以作為《21世紀大學英語（S版）》系列教材（第3版）的一部分與系列內其他教材配套使用。
本書為「學生用書」第1冊，共8個單元，每個單元均由Lead-in和「視聽說」「聽力訓練」「補充視頻片段」3部分組成。「視聽說」部分又分為「看前準備」「邊看邊練」「看后操練」3個小部分；「聽力訓練」部分則分為「單元主題聽力訓練」「聽力微技能訓練」「綜合聽力訓練」3大塊；而「補充視頻片段」包括兩個視頻短片和相應的練習。
