明生,男,1960年9月出生,漢族,廣東惠來縣人,碩士。現任中國佛教協會副會長兼慈善公益委員會主任、中國反邪教協會理事、廣東省反邪教協會副會長、廣東省粵港澳合作促進會名譽會長、廣東省佛教協會會長、珠海市佛教協會會長、佛山市佛教協會會長、揭陽市佛教協會會長、廣州光孝寺方丈、珠海普陀寺方丈、佛山仁壽寺住持、揭陽永福寺住持,是第十屆全國政協委員,第十、十一、十二屆全國人大代表。1982年在潮陽沙隴圓通寺出家並常住,1983年7月到山西五台山塔院寺受具足戒,1986-1990年在中國佛學院讀佛學並獲本科畢業。1991-1993年由廣東省佛教協會委派任廣東嶺東佛學院院長助理並執教,後任該院副院長,1996年當選為廣東省佛教協會秘書長,2000年當選為廣東省佛教協會副會長兼秘書長、珠海普陀寺住持,2001年當選為中國佛教協會副會長,2003年當選為全國人大代表、全國政協委員,2004年至今任廣東省佛教協會會長、佛山市佛教協會會長,2006年任光孝寺方丈,2008年任珠海市佛教協會會長,2009-2011年在華南理工大學攻讀管理學並獲碩士學位,2012年泰國朱拉隆功大學授予法師榮譽博士學位,2012年獲緬甸總統吳登盛親自頒發緬甸最高榮譽勛章,2016年獲斯里蘭卡總統邁特里帕拉·西里塞納親自頒發斯里蘭卡弘法傑出貢獻獎。
