本教程為大學英語教學提供了一個新途徑,運用英語幫助大學生促進自己的專業發展,來提高其英語學習動力,使其英語學習更為實用,並培養其學術創新能力。
本教程共有11章,主要包括與大學生專業發展相關的一些基本問題,即:英語水平與專業發展(第1章),英語學習的困難、弱點與方法(第2章),與導師的學術溝通(第3章),學術期刊論文(第4章),畢業論文(第5章),畢業論文開題與答辯實踐(第6章),國際會議演講(第7章),出國深造(第8章),英語資源的利用(第9章),專業發展過程中的跨文化交際(第10章),發表學術論文(第11章)。本書的重要特點包括:①每一章的內容都不是知識,而更像是練習;②要求學生在課堂上,甚至在課外不斷地操練,以此來達到掌握目標內容、相關技巧與策略的目的;③教師的作用是站在學生旁邊,幫助他們獨自地或在小組中思、說、聽、讀、寫、譯、評、省等。
本教程適用於所有大學生,尤其是研究生,更適用於希望通過英語學習來促進自己專業發展,特別是想要發表學術論文和順利完成畢業論文的大學生。

何恆幸Prof.Hengxing HE,supervisor of MA,MEd and MTI at Schoolof Foreign Studies(SFS),South China Normal University(SCNU),has taught major/non—major English undergraduate and graduatestudents such courses as Thesis Writing,College English(CE),andPostgraduate English for Non-English Maj ors(PENM)for over25 years.He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy(PhD)Degree inSystemic-Functional Lingufstics at School of Foreign Languages,SunYat-sen University.His research interests include pragmatics,syntax,discourse analysis,discourse translation,and education studies.His ORCID iD is:orcid.org/0000-0002-1435-7065。
