    李崇銀院士多年來不僅在熱帶氣象學、大氣低頻振蕩及其動力學,以及ENSO循環動力學等大氣科學和氣候動力學前沿領域取得了一系列創新性研究成果,也為大氣科學研究和業務部門培養了各方面的骨幹人才。為中國和國際動力氣象和氣候動力學的發展做出了突出貢獻。李崇銀院士依據國家需求在天氣氣候分析、天氣氣候動力學、數值模擬和預報、衛星遙感、臭氧和平流層,以及邊界層大氣擴散等學科領域都工作過;同時在大氣與海洋、大氣與空間科學等交叉領域也作了不少研究。
