作者介紹
(美)大衛·皮卡斯
大衛·皮卡斯,David Pickus was born in Chicago, USA andmoved to China in 2013. He currently teaches in theGlobal Engagement program at Zhejiang University.He received his Ph.D. in German history fromthe University of Chicago in 1995. After that, hetaught history and the humanities at James MadisonUniversity and Arizona State University. During thistime, he spent a year living in Belgrade, Serbia. Beforecoming to Hangzhou, he taught world history at the Renmin University of Chinain Beijing from 2013 to 2017. In addition to recording his impressions of China,his academic research concentrates on central and east European history, Jewishculture, and the globalization of higher education. His favorite activity is travel, andhe is always happy to visit a new place or consider a familiar location from a newperspective.
